Uses for the Moringa Leaf
TeasThis grassy-tasting tea can be easily made by steeping the Moringa leaves in hot water. Just take a teaspoon of dried Moringa leaves and add them in a cup of hot water. Let the leaves steep for 3 to 5 minutes. Once the color of the tea changes to light green, you know it’s ready! You can strain it and even eat the leaves. Cold / Ice Moringa Tea Brew 1-2 teaspoon of Moringa leaves. Add a slice of fresh ginger root and/or freshly squeezed lemon juice. Honey to taste (optional) Add ingredients to a 16 oz. bottle of water. Shake thoroughly and allow to sit for an hour. Moringa steeps well in cold water, but it takes longer to brew than it would in hot water. You can store in the fridge. Hot Moringa Tea Use the above recipe, and use ½ to 1 teaspoon of Moringa leaf in 8-12 oz. of hot water. Allow the tea to steep, preferably covered, for up to ten minutes. Enjoy!
